This season sucks but is awesome.
Sucks because:
-We just wasted another GENERATIONAL player.
-We just wasted another EPICALLY good offense.
-Our defense is the worst in our proud history of playing the sport.
Awesome because:
-We are 10-1 and ranked #6
-Have another chance to play for a Big 12 Title
-Have a possibility at a CFP appearance a year after losing the best Quarterback in our history.
-We got rid of Mike Stoops and didn’t have to have a losing season or even a below 10 win season to rid ourselves of him.
This season has sucked and been awesome at the same time. We needed mikes defense to be epically bad so that we could move forward and rid ourselves of everyone on that side of the ball. Mike won a national title here and wasn’t going to be let go unless it was worse than last year and it was. This year could have been a year where we went 6-6 and mike was fired but we had to endure a sh!t stain of a season, OR Mike could have allowed 26-27 ppg and we be 10-1 and not have a chance to better our defense in the future by hiring a game changing DC that would bring us to #8.
This has been the best/worst possible season for us. Since mike didn’t get fired last year(which would have kept all of this from happening).... Either way you look at it this was the best possible outcome for us THIS YEAR for our future.
If Mike’s defense was going to be bad we needed him to be historically bad so that he wouldn’t be here next year, otherwise he would stay here with a below par defense that would always be a liability. We are just lucky that we got to win while it happened, not many times does it work out that way.
