Let me make sure I get this straight so I can understand what the problem is. Our coaches tell our players where they need to be and what their assignments are. They watch them in practice and (I guess) evaluate their ability to execute said assignments against a top 10 offense in the country on a weekly basis and in camp. Then all of a sudden on gameday they just shit the bed on a regular basis year over year because they are kids and just make mistakes? How do we rectify that problem? Who is responsible for making sure the players are motivated? Who is responsible for making sure the kids know their assignments? If it's not the coaches job then what the fvck are we doing paying them thousands/millions of dollars to coach?
I am so tired of hearing this excuse. The coaches recruit these players. The coaches teach these players. The coaches evaluate these players. There is only one constant in this equation and there is one variable.
If you don't think the defensive coaches are a problem then please enlighten me because I don't understand how we consistently have this problem with the players not executing.
