The OU lady Gymnastic team just won the National Championship

Here to report on the OU ladies gymnastics championship. They dominated from start to finish. I felt bad for the other 3 teams because coming into the meet, they had no chance. I attended the rowdy send off on both days. OU fans were there in numbers and those girls were feeding off of the energy.

They wanted to make up for last year's last second loss, but they had an entire other level of motivation coming in. Dave Richardson, the loved husband of the long-time team trainer Jenn, died earlier in the season after a long battle with colon cancer. I've known Jenn for years and she's always been a big help to my foster daughter and my youngest daughter in their gymnastics careers. I knew Dave from his job at the Warr Acres Police Department and from his time as an assistant football coach for Norman North High School. All of those girls loved him and were determined to make sure they came home with the championship trophy in his honor.

It was my foster daughter's final meet as an OU gymnast, and the final meet of her 18 year gymnastics career. It was awesome to get to see her walk out with Ring #3 after all of the adversity she's faced with injuries over the years.

Thank you Medic. You told several facts that I was not aware of. I watched the OU team on TV and some of the lady gymnasts in their interviews after they won the NC said the win was in Dave honor and I did not know who Dave was. It was a great tribute to him and his family.

Much good luck to your foster daughter in her future. . Her three rings will mean a lot to her forever as the years pass.

Congratulations my friend.

Congratulations my friend.
She's very proud of the three championships she was a part of but she's definitely looking forward to the next chapter in her life. She's coming to the dark side and pursuing a career in the medical field.

She probably is pursuing the medical field due to you her dad, and to her adversity she faced with her injuries. Also It was very commendable she remained in gymnastics with the OU team with all she faced with her injuries.

Again my friend, you must be very proud of her.

I am very proud, bull. Thanks for all of your kind words. She is an amazing woman. There aren't very many young people that I've met that have been as focused and goal oriented as she's been. She's been a great role model for my youngest daughter.

She's always loved the medical field. She had her sights set on a career before we ever met. I just broadened her horizons on the opportunities.
