I know DBo and Stoops aren't going to allow it to happen but when we gave TCU and Baylor a seat at the big boys table and A&M joined the SEC it knocked us down in the pecking order. This is yet another reason why Houston doesn't need an invite into the Big12 if this is where we are going to stay for any length of time.
I've been in the Big12 is a viable conference camp until now. Texas is always going to be Texas and kids like Daniels are always going to flip in the end if finally offered by Texas. So now we are left with the rest and trying to compete against A&M and the SEC as well as two private schools one of which recruits like it's in the SEC. The only way we compete against A&M and Baylor and win those battles is to join the SEC and yes get as dirty as everyone else outside of Vanderbilt and apparently Arkansas.
