The clock is about to start

Really hard for me to figure who will go first. Mixon has I think more pure talent and potential, but not sure how far his past will knock him down. Perine has a better head on his shoulders that I'm sure impressed during interviews, and is just a physical beast!!!. I don't think either will be going in the 1st round though. But for me it just seems like a toss up to predict which will go first.

Not too surprising that Mixon went in the second. I am surprised, though, that Perine did not go in the third.

Dede is still there also. Only thing I can think holding him back is his weight. Receivers going before him had scored less than his.

When are these kids gonna learn: I know we probably Had to shed Joe & Dede but Optimus could have served us well this season.
I know man. No doubt Perine wanted to get an NFL career going, but geez it's painful to see kids come out early and then fail miserable in the draft. But hard to tell if another year in college would have truly helped his draft stock or not. I think Perine's skills had been pretty much showcased for the time he did spend at OU.

Yeah, he could have (& from a selfish fan standpoint I wish he would have), but he did the right thing. He's got his degree so there's no use sticking around from that aspect, & with him being a power back who'd just as soon run over you as around you, he's better off getting paid for it. Those type of backs usually don't have a long shelf life.

I was listening to the Sooner softball broadcast during the draft, and they announced during the Tech broadcast that Joe Mixon was going to be drafted by the Bengals, at least ten minutes before it happened "live"on either ESPN or the NFL Network.
