OK, it's early Sunday morning, and I still have a few hours to say the Browns are still alive in the playoff picture. I know it's a very slim probability and their hopes may be totally dashed by the afternoon, but the fact that I am even posting this in mid-December is nothing short of amazing.

I am so glad we got to see Baker do this as a Sooner. When nobody else believed it, we all knew he is special. Now they believe it too. And he is surrounded by some special players too. The 2019 Browns will be fun to watch.

It is amazing to see. Obviously the have a very good defense, but they have to surround Baker with some more reliable targets and shore up their O-line in the off season. I was SOOO hoping the Browns would be smart and draft Quenten Nelson OG from Notre Dame with the 3rd pick. You know, protect that franchise QB you just took #1. But, the Browns being the Browns, picked up a DB who is currently listed as the 3rd string CB. In the mean time, Nelson got drafted by the Colts, who (after a slow start) have won 7 of their last 8. I know woulda/coulda/shoulda...

They’d have 2-3 more wins if their receivers wouldn’t drop balls that hit them in their hands.
Very fun but frustrating to watch.

Rookie of the year?......

Or if they didn’t miss field goals... they would probably be at 10 wins. At this point he should be rookie of the year he’s leading every rookie qb in every category almost

Never thought I would like a team besides my cowboys but I can help but route for Baker. My two year old has to wear his Browns bake jersey and yell go baker at the screen constantly. Fun to watch a young hungry nfl team you don’t see that much anymore

They have 11 picks in the upcoming draft & $80 million under salary cap. The new HC is going to be primed. There will be no reason to see this team to regress. None. Zilch. Nelson would've been a nice pick up no doubt.

Mahomes at KC is the front runner for Rookie of the Year, but Baker is playing is butt off and the Browns have won 4 of the last 5. This Browns team is going to be a force in the next year or so.

The Browns aren't officially dead yet. But their chances are like playing the Powerball. As one Browns fan said yesterday, "Baker Mayfield can defeat math".

From the linked article...

The Browns must win their final two games to finish 8-7-1
The Ravens must lose their final two games (including one against the Browns) to finish 8-8
The Miami Dolphins must lose at least one of their final two games to finish no better than 8-8
The Colts and the Titans must each lose Week 16 and then tie when they play each other Week 17 to finish 8-7-1

If all of that madness happens, the Browns, Colts, and Titans would all be 8-7-1. The Colts would eliminate the Titans based on the former's win over the latter earlier in the year, but the Browns would eliminate the Colts based on a better record against common opponents (3-2 vs. 2-3). Meaning, the Browns would make the playoffs for the first time since 2002.

I believe Mahones was the 10th pick in the 2017 draft. Mahones is in his 2nd year with the Chiefs, right? So, he was a 2017 rookie.

If, Baker isn't the 2018 rookie of the year QB then he was really snubbed.

Mahomes is in his 2nd season. He made one start last year before becoming the starting QB this season.

It's a two horse race for rookie of the year. Baker vs Barkley. I think Baker deserves the award. A lot harder to be successful as a rookie QB than it is to be a successful rookie RB.

Denzel Ward has played really well.

Let the two swap teams and we’d see a different Mahomes.
