This Kansas State Okie Light game is very ugly. Probably worse than the Tech TCU game the other night
You’ve got the following teams looking like their worst (and by a good stretch) in a while:
TCU
Oklahoma State
Kansas State
Then Baylor and Kansas are who we thought they were. Kansas actually won but they’re still probably the worst team in the conference. I would have said that about KState until today, which is sad for Oklahoma State. Iowa State may make a case at 3rd best team in the conference, but they lost to the offensive-less TCU. Texas Tech May be up there but they also lost to Ole Miss, who is terrible, and at this point, beating TCU is not impressive
Texas is solid but come on, that’s not the #9 team in the country. They win out, I’ll change my tune. But they are one shitty defensive opponent away from having two losses already
West Virginia still has the bulk of their schedule remaining. Losing their big OOC game was huge for them. They need to look good in the next few weeks
OU, WVU, and Texas are clearly the upper tier and there’s no way two of these three aren’t in the conference championship. Regardless of what happens, OU needs a rematch with one of these two, and they can’t have any more than one loss
Still think it’s hard to make a case against a 1-loss Big 12 champ Oklahoma making the CFP, but the rest of the conference is doing jack shit to help. Someone is going to lose who they shouldn’t (Ohio State hasn’t looked great today) and OU will have a chance. But they’re getting ZERO help from this shit ass league
