That Didn't Last Long...Stoops Baaaaaack Into Coaching....

I wonder if Mike has called him yet?

Maybe he just enjoys coaching, but not the media circus that goes along with it at the NFL and major college levels. If it is what he wants to do, good for him. When I retire, I'm going to keep busy doing something far less than that of which I'm capable-but I WILL enjoy it. That's why they call it retirement.

Not really sure how I feel about this, mainly since I don't know that much about the XFL.

I appreciate he misses coaching and wants to get back in, so this is an interesting decision. Maybe he didn't want to get into grind of college coaching and heard enough from Spurrier about the pros and cons of the NFL, so this might be a good place for him to dip his toe in the water at the professional level.

Of course, I wish Bob the very best in this new venture.

Keep in mind that his wife is pretty involved in Mary Kay - headquarters Dallas, TX.
If I were going to bet a dime to dollar, I'd say she wants to be more involved in headquarters operations, so she wants to be in Dallas. That leaves Bob in retirement and living in a city without as much to do as he would normally have in Norman. He's probably finding something fun to do with his time while he's in Dallas supporting his wife's endeavors. Find some new friends living in his new town. If that's the case, I'm glad he's not such a curdmudgeon as to tell his wife to pound dirt.

Guess where the Big XII headquarters is as well? Also a nice international airport good for traveling to games around the country if one were to be an analyst. Etc, etc. Still close to Norman and family and friends.

And lastly, imagine being able to attend all of those great Dallas area Friday night games and evaluate players for your school?
