Unfortunately he'll likely be back :/

You are likely right because I am not sure anyone has the balls to fire him. If he was an honorable person he would just resign and apologize for his awful defenses. Seriously how much longer do we as fans have to endure his shitty defenses.

Mike aint going anywhere. Not sure what it will take but tonight probably was not enough but it should be the breaking point. If he does get canned it probably goes to Ruffin McNeil and thats not good either.
Oh well I guess we can brag about winning the big 12.

Every interview he ever gives he tells us fans how much he knows, and how much we don't. He has no clue. He still thinks he's doing a good job. I was hoping he was older and they could pull the ol' "he's retiring" bit to save face. But, alas, he's way too young. Time for Lincoln Riley to step up, and do what the Head Coach is supposed to do.

That's a sure sign it's his fault. Look, I've worked in IT for 28 years and if the end users (who didn't know anything about technology) were always coming down to my department and asking why the computer systems I supported weren't working or failed at critical times the last thing I would tell them is "well you don't know jack about computers so just shut up" and it would be a sure sign it's my fault or that I was incapable of fixing it.

Good Analogy...

I saw on another board, Mike Stoops to Youngstown. He didn't have a link but maybe so. The graveyard for coaches that didn't live up to expectations.

Carl Pelini was the Youngstown DC but has recently taken the same position at Bowling Green. Mike’s brother, Ron, is Bo’s special teams coach at Youngstown. Maybe!! Not likely. Bo Pelini signed for $214k a year as the head coach in 2015. He’s probably making more now but Mike wouldn’t make $200k at Youngstown. Btw, Nebraska settled with Bo for $128k each month for 46 months in 2015 so Bo is flush. Wowzer.

With nearly everyone wanting Mike Stoops fired, how in the world could OU retain him? Makes absolutely no sense.

I read someplace that Youngstown's assistants get paid pretty well because Bo isn't taking a big salary. Not sure if that's correct or not.

Maybe, but in 2010 top pay for an assistant head coach at YSU was $95k. Granted that was 8 years ago but still. Mike will be looking for a job in the Big Ten.

Eventually the Nebraska won't be paying Bo to not coach their team anymore as well. Personally I think Mike should retire from football and start selling cars.

I heard the zoo is hiring for this job. :D
