Maybe not mauled but it was clear interference. DB’s left hand held on and clearly prevented the WR from having any chance to turn and jump for the ball. Probably not called bcuz throw was way off and official must not have seen the left hand. Even so, he was essentially hugging the WR the whole time. Seemed obvious to me it was DPI
It was clearly PI and I am not one of those fans. If you dont think that was PI then you must be a closet Horn fan. Like Rush said maybe maul was the wrong word to use but it was PI.

That’s what they called but sure looked more like a push with an open hand that missed. If you’re going to kick someone out of a game for that, you’d think a replay to verify would be prudent.
I am switching back and forth between the UGA - Ky game and didnt see that but I think I will just stay with the UGA game because of what you just described.
I mean, if they’re going to call an Unsportsmanlike Conduct penalty for every Horns Down sign made, they’re going to be flagging OU a dozen times a game cuz that’s all we do!!
WVU has a knack for shooting themselves in the foot. That second UT score was due to the b.s. unsportsmanlike call for the horns down, but #55 helped the horns score when he punched the UT lineman on the XP. WVU kicks off from the 10 and the horns run it back inside the WVU 30. Nice job of playing with poise Mountaineers. NOT!
They only showed 1 replay from real far away, so hard to be sure, but two pretty questionable calls that could’ve easily been given warnings. Hate seeing officials going all severe punishment for ticky-tack stuff.
IF it was a punch, so be it. Kick the guy. But I just saw it as a late play push between two linemen that you see 100 times a game.
The Unsportsmanlike Conduct was complete crap, just like they called against us.

It was an open handed push that didn't connect... I will never understand how horns down gets a penalty, but horns up is ok

Holgerson has balls..going for 2 for the win. And they pretty much converted the 2pt conversion twice. Such a great feeling to hear the silence in that stadium after he ran in the 2pt play. Stupid Whorn fans. LOL 
I would have done the same as Holgerson in that situation, especially given the "home cooking" by the officials during UT home games. Better to end it then and there.
I agree. Might as well just shoot them the finger. No difference. You get a flag either way.
