By IsoPPP+, which is the best measure of explosiveness out there, Texas offense is complete dogshit.
You stop an unexplosive offense by stacking the box, bringing pressure, and playing press coverage. They aren't equipped to break big runs or take deep shots. Ehlinger isn't Greer, he isn't going to drop a dime 30 yards down the field consistently. Their receivers are big and slow, and they aren't going to outrun our corners and safeties (well maybe Bookie).
This is the opposite of what we did last time we faced these guys, where we played 3 man fronts, soft coverage, and let them methodically march down the field for 80 yard TD drives.
To me, this is where Lincoln has to step in as head coach and tell the defensive coaches what their game plan is going to be. No need to worry about stepping on toes or hurting feelings, everyone knows these coaches are out on their asses at the end of the year. Make sure the game plan is sound and as well set up as possible to beat what is a pretty mediocre Texas team.
