Football is a game of momentum and confidence. After last year's debacle we are in dire need of a big shot of both.
The Tennessee game in Knoxville (#2 on 2015 schedule) will tell us a lot! This is especially true given the fact that Tennessee's recruiting and program are improving very fast (IMO). This will be one hell of a test for both of us!
Win this game and we are rolling and demonstrating that we are a "big time" contender for Big 12 and national honors!
Lose this game and we are back in the dumpster!
"Bare our Bottom" (like Baylor, Clemson last year) and we are in for a very long very ugly season with all kinds of recriminations (players, coaches, etc.)
Hard to imagine a more important non-conference game than this one. I am betting we win but if not things are going to get ugly around Norman! Real ugly! Real fast!
