Super Bowl

Have you seen ticket prices??? $2,500 for upper deck, corner end zone. My buddy in Minneapolis was saying the prices would be double had the Vikes beaten the Eagles to play the Super Bowl in their home stadium.

But 72 degrees inside the stadium. Non issue.

Non-issue? Don't Believe it. While the game it self is inside @ 72 degrees, those that attend the Super Bowl game are also attending many functions for the days leading up to the game. Last year's Super bowl in Houston had over 100 parties and private concerts that most folks never hear about. Folks flew into Houston w/o tickets just for the parties and concerts. This year will be a bit different as I imagine fewer folks will won't to endure a sub zero temp to enjoy the Super Bowl festivities.

I have family in Minneapolis who tell me frigid weather is just another part of life to them.....and the festivities are not impacted, especially since they will be indoors.
The fans of both teams are accustomed to such weather as well. They'll get through it somehow.
Snow and ice issues will be minimized. Those people know how to prepare.
My thoughts on the game itself is that outside of New England, the Patriots will have most fans in the country rooting against them.

-7 . No one and I do mean no one, handles -7.
It's tolerated via the use of indoors and heaters. Like I said it's foolishness to host a Super Bowl in these conditions.

Perhaps maybe there was consideration given to possible weather conditions when it was determined to play the Super Bowl in Minneapolis. Perhaps measures were taken in increase fans comfort and safety. Perhaps two years is enough time to get this done.
I live in an area where there is such weather on occasion. We deal with it. So will the fans...with an indoor game, indoor entertainment places, the Mall of America, etc.

Zero interest. In the age of youtube, you don't even need to watch it for the commercials. I may catch up on watching Vikings or The Americans.

I still enjoy the NFL, but certainly don't pay nearly as much attention to it as I did 20 years ago. I always watch the Falcons during the season, but I don't keep up with too many other teams. I always watch the playoffs and Super Bowl, regardless of who is playing. But the NFL does not hold a candle to how I feel about the Sooners and college football. Not even close.

I agree. I don't follow the NFL like I did years back. I enjoy the College football more but I must say the one thing that I enjoy most of the NFL is their playoff system. When a champion is crowned, it's a true champion. I wish that CFB could do the same. To this day, the element of a human or group of humans determine who will play for a title.

I'm not a Patriots fan or a fan of any Boston team, but I know that anytime I watch Tom Brady, I'm watching the best QB in pro football history. He's not my favorite NFL quarterback, but I've never seen a better one. I'm seeing greatness each game he plays and I embrace it the same way I would if I watched Babe Ruth, Michael Jordan, Wayne Gretzky, Willie Mays or Hank Aaron.
Mickey Mantle was my favorite baseball play, but I know he wasn't the best ever.

I haven't watched an NFL game this year and I'm going to watch the Super Bowl either.

You do realize that Devin McCourty (who boycotted the WH visit last year) is still on the Patriots roster, I hope. You're pretty much between a rock & a hard place on this one, although I guess if you want to keep score, Legarrette Blount boycotted last year & he's now with Philly, so it's 2 to 1.

1987 was the last year I watched the No Fun League. I enjoyed watching the games with the replacement players and scabs. As soon as the strike was over, I switched off the NFL and have not watched a single down since. Haven't missed it a bit.

What I did realize is the fool has not even earned an invitation. He has a SB to win first. Even if the Eagles win it’ll be his loss as no one will give a damn. Years later as players reflect and look at a framed image of the team’s WH visit, he won’t be in it. No one will give a damn then either.

And the only score I keep when it comes to the Eagles & Super Bowls...
0 for 2 in fifty years or so.

Just checking dude. Didn't know if you were aware of the fact that regardless of which team wins it, they'll have someone on it who pulled that particular little stunt last year. Oh, & FWIW, I agree 100% w/ the gist of your post.
