In the second half we had to burn our second timeout. With about 20 seconds left on play clock, we subbed a receiver in. When that happened, the ref jumped in and allowed Texas to sub which is currently in the rules. However, this fat ass Texas defender comes slowly slowly almost walking onto the field. Lincoln had to call timeout with 1 second left on the clock to avoid a delay of game penalty because we were waiting on the defender.
Somewhere the refs need to let the offense get the play off before a delay of game penalty should be called. It is a great ploy if you are on defense.
