The biggest question mark of the offseason was how Lincoln Riley would integrate running backs Samaje Perine and Joe Mixon into the Air Raid offense.

The season opener gave us our first look at how the running game would look this season in Norman.

Overall, it was 33 rushes for 100 yards. An average of just 3.0 yards per carry.

“You look at our yardage running and it’s very disappointing,” said starting offensive guard Jonathan Alvarez. “As an offensive linemen that kind of pisses you off knowing you have some of the best running backs in the country and they weren’t able to show what they can do.
