The most disappointing thing I heard during Stoops interview after the game was that he was actually throwing players under the bus talking about poor tackling, and blown assignments, but with some of his comments, specifically what he said about Mark Jackson Jr. playing out of position and being too small. I follow recruiting pretty closely. Is the position he’s playing not what they recruited him to play. Coach Riley is going to have to accept the fact that our players have tuned him out, and are not going to put it all out there for him, because they don’t believe in him. His defensive scheme is antiquated, and at this point you accept whatever recruiting fallout occurs. You are at a crossroads in this program and you have to make some defensive coaching changes starting at the top.
