I am happy for Charlie Strong. texAss deserved to win. They played with heart and grit. Norvell's gets revenge and Mike Stoops proves, again, he is a liability. We deserved to lose. Terrible preparation. Coaches, offensive line and defense just plain bad. Recruiting will continue to be average and OU will continue to slide as a national program. Stoops has never been a very good recruiter. OU's reputation and close proximity to talent helped him. Now that we are in a terrible conference and everyone, just about, has equal resources and facilities our recruiting has become a pathetic joke. Top 15-20 classes will never get it done on a national level. We haven't had dominant DL since McCoy and company. We have not had decent linebackers since Venables left. When have we had a solid secondary? It's time we get some new blood. Today's lack of preparation and play calling is a clear sign that Stoops and family do not have what it takes to get this program back to the top of the Big XII. Count on losses to KSU, OSU, Baylor and TCU. Count on another, very average, recruiting class and another 8-5 season with a bowl loss.
