Sterling is so special, but I just wanted to see everybody's thoughts on the rest of the receivers so far. The Air Raid offense is built to spread it. Have we done that to your satisfaction? I will say I think Durron Neal is looking better. I don't think he has a drop this year. Baxter and Westbrook are both really good downfield blockers. Care to discuss Andrews, Perine and Mixon out of the backfield. Expectations made?

I probably should have went to a stats site before I post this, but I'm just going by the "eyeball test".

Nope, don't care to disgust this at all dude...

Just kidding, I do that.:D
The only thing that I'm seeing so far that's troubling is Jarvis Baxters silly propensity to run before he secures the ball that has just been tossed to him.
Perhaps the couple of times it's happened were an anomaly...let's hope so.
The only real, practical way to develop these high risk, high rewards passing games is doing it in actual games, full speed, all out.
You just can't dupe that in a scrimmage.
As I see it nevertheless.

I thought Neal looked bad against Tennesse, great against Tulsa. Hope he keeps improving. Jucos playing very well as is Andrews and Mixon. Almost a big a surprise as how well the OL played last week. Receivers now not a big concern. Just the usual - the D.

I too thought Neal did not do much vs. UT, but showed up for TU and had a very nice game. It's clear that Shep is the go-to-guy, much like Broyles was Landry's main target, but I'd like to see one of the other guys - Neal, Baxter, Andrews - pull in about 7 or 8 passes a game. This will force defenses to not focus so much on Shep and will spread the field for others to make big plays.

Everyone was raving about Andrews after the Spring Game and he had a breakout game vs. TU. I think he'll have a very nice career at OU by the time he plays his last game as a Sooner.
