With Troy Taylor gone, I'm sure we'll see some portal and Class of 2025 defects from Stanford. He peaked in ranking on 247 where he is 224th overall and the 19th ranked LB.
First class of 2025 guy I've seen is Nusi Taumoepeau
He announced he was released from his NLI today and his film is nice. He'd fit what the LB room needs most being a young LB with 3-4 years left. The last two classes have been low on numbers so we need some youth and this could be like getting a replacement for the Alley whiffs of last class. I also checked and saw Utah took 3 LBs in the 2025 Class and BYU took 2 HS LBs and a portal in the 2025 class. So maybe they're not so desperate to get the Utah kid in the fold.
On Film I see a really physical kid with good instincts to the ball, flies to the ball, good pass rushing ability and some lateral twitch. Would be a good MIKE prospect. He's listed at 6'2 225 on Rivals and 247. I think based off of the film and need in the room that he'd be a good fit and wouldn't cost an arm and leg either.
3/4 sites and Stanford project him as a ILB
