When two-a-days start in Norman freshman Austin Seibert will be competing with another scholarship kicker on the Oklahoma roster for the starting gig. This after Bob Stoops revealed redshirt senior Nick Hodgson was placed on scholarship following the spring.
"He was in the top five in the country in touchbacks last year. In fact we put Nick on scholarship. This spring he was awesome. I haven't had a guy miss only three (during the sprin g). I counted how many he missed and there was only three. And one was on a really windy day," said Stoops.
Hodgson recorded 54 touchbacks last season for Oklahoma appearing in all 13 games, earning Special Teams Player of the Year honors.
