Sooners are a 5.5 underdog to the Cyclones in Ames. They've played well down the stretch and were challenged by texas and TCU, but Sooners found a way to win. It will take a monumental effort, but I think they can pull off the win tonight!

We are walking into a hornets nest in Ames. They have lost two games in a row including one at home to Baylor. I am guessing this is senior night for them too.

Keep it close until late in the second and see what happens. Stealing one on the road up there would certainly raise some eyebrows on the tournament committee.

Right now, we are a consensus 3 seed.

ISU is so dependent on the three point shot that if we defend that well (or they have an off shooting night), our chances increase exponentially.

The emotion will be on the side of the Cyclones and will be difficult to overcome. If we can take the crowd out early--like we did against Texas--it would help a lot.

good call on the game plan..now to hold a 21 point lead for the second half....make that 19 points...either way

Let's remember how the first game went. The visitor dominated the first half, and then the home team got it going.

Some guys just can't keep their poise when it's important. That technical has turned the game around. Silly, stupid foul. You cannot shout the F word into the ear of the official repeatedly.

This game will be a five point game with five minutes left. Or worse.

All of a sudden guys are open everywhere. The defense is gone.

would be curious to know exactly what Cousins said to get the T....that it has been an avalanche since.. I really don't understand that kind of come back.

When they were walking off the court, during the time out, he yelled something about how great they were playing with at least two F bombs with the official standing two feet away. It's automatic.

THis team is what it has been for 25 years. Occasionally looks good, but doesn't have what it takes to be a champion. There was the aberation the year that Blake was a soph. And two good years when Hollis was the best guard of the last two decades. But this team just flat choked.

Cousins started the avalanche. But the whole team sucked for the game's last 15 minutes.

I don't care what the rest of the team does...you don't do that at home?....and NEVER do that on the road...that was the emotional game changer...period.

The actions by Cousins was about as stupid of a move as I have seen. That is saying an awful lot considering some of the stupid technical I've seen called games. You never ever get a technical when your team is up by 20. Keep your dang mouth shut and play the game.

The only thing that kept me from yelling at the top of my lungs seeing the 20 point lead vanish was the fact the wife was already asleep. This team is just so dang hard to get a read on. One minute they play like they can play with anyone then like tonight they look like a team that you wonder how in the hell did they even win 20 games. This team is just flat out frustrating to watch at times and other times they make you smile.

However if anyone really thinks this team can make a serious run at even the sweet 16 then you must be seeing something that many of us haven't. This is one jackel and hyde team. Blowing a 20 point lead and allowing 59 second half points after only giving up 18 in the first half just makes me shake my head. I think we all knew that ISU would eventually hit some 3's but they also destroyed our defense in the paint and got easy point after easy point.

This team needs to learn how to hold a lead and keep that killer instinct for a whole 40 minutes and not just 20 minutes. Cousins didn't cost OU the game but he sure didn't help matters by opening his mouth and talking crap with the ref standing right there.

Bball seems to be an even more emotional game than football as far as the crowd is concerned especially on the road...that one instance turned the tide...sorry I disagree. ISU is great at home....we did not need to have something like that happen. I just flat out don't understand it. It lit them up...and totally took the wind out of us...sorry that is a fact.

That technical was huge! They made the shots, got the ball, back and made an old fashioned three, our shot bounces off and they go and make another . That is an eight point swing right there. Now, they are just down 13, the crowd is in the game, and ISU knows they are right back in it too! Momentum is huge on the road and we had it, until the T!!! Missing free throws was another dagger!! Just keep your mouth closed and play!!! They are such a good team at home, and we had them on the ropes. We have a very hard time finishing good teams off, unless we stay very far ahead the entire game. Disappointing !!

This team is better than usual but they are still not mentally tough or good enough to win on the road against a good team. I think Kruger lets them play instead of calling a timeout because he wants them to fight through the surge. Tonight they simply folded

didn't get to watch the game but was checking in on the score while watching my son's basketball games. Shocked to see us give up a 20 pt lead...and THAT FAST!! Thomas scoring only 6 points is not good. He has got some good post moves, intermediate shot and balls skills....but damn...he is so up and down. No excuse for him having only 6 points. When he scores in the 12-14 point range..OU is very very tough. i don't see OU going very far in the tourney if Thomas doesn't get his scoring up.

83 the call itself did change the energy for the ISU but what lost OU the game was the inability to gain their self composure and go down the floor and answer them basket for basket or at least at a 2-1 ratio. OU also had their chances at the free throw line but even had trouble converting them. The technical was stupid by Cousins no doubt, but up by 20 even a technical won't usually beat you if your team at least makes some baskets down the floor when in possession of the ball. OU simply did not do that and to make matter worse when ISU starting heating up with the 3's our defense totally vanished especially inside the paint.

No doubt ISU is a good team and losing to them isn't a embarrassment but it's how OU lost to them that is a concern and seems to be a pattern at times against good teams. I say jackel and hyde because that's how they have played this season. Remember this team struggled against Tech and TCU recently and also blew a 18 point late lead against an average Creighton team earlier this season late in the game. We know this team can play with the best and even beat top teams but they just do not do it consistently enough to reasonably think this team can go deep in the tournament.
