Macey Hatfield in leftfield showed great speed & athleticism catching that foul ball at a critical time in the ballgame with Tulsa having 2 on base.

She showed great quickness making our outfield of Pendley Mendes and Hatfield perhaps the quickest outfield and most athletic in college softball this season.

Few could have the quickness and athletism of Hatfield making that key circus catch
in the game. look at the video of her speed quickness and athleticism making that almost impossible catch.

Hatfield also showed her power with her HR vs. a great pitcher.

Hatfield also showed her arm strength keeping a ball hitting the bottom of the wall holding the runner to a single rather than a double.

Bull, Macey made an athletic play, really the key play of the game. I'd say her fifth inning was the difference in the game. Homer made the lead 2-0 and the catch, laying out in foul territory to end the inning with first and third, and their 3 spot hitter up, was so important in so many ways. That's deflating to the other girls. But just the logistics of the play were special.

But she's probably as slow as any outfielder on a top 16 team.

And as you pointed our WITHOUT MACEY IN THE LINEUP WE MAY NOT HAVE WON THE GAME TODAY.
It does not matter if she is slow or fast she made two plays (one on offense& one on defense) that won us this game. The one on defense we needed her quickness and great athleticism and the one on offense we needed her power.
