A High School Football Field Somewhere
Alright guys we'll have video, pics, write-ups the whole work up in the coming days but until then wanted to get some more notes for you all to look over while I wait for my flight...

*I think the two headliners were without a doubt Edwardsville, Ill. 2017 Rivals100 defensive end A.J. Epenesa and 2017 defensive back Isaiah Pryor of Lawrenceville (Ga.) Archer. Epenesa certainly passes the eyeball test and is a guy that for as impressive as he is, he'l put on 20-30 more pounds before he is really starting to roll in college. They didn't go in one on ones for long but when they did he overwhelmed a couple of blockers on a few attempts.

Meanwhile Pryor is a guy that is just enormous for his age, already probably every bit of 6-2, 200-pounds and though I think it's clear in watching him that he is a safety there is no doubt that, need be, he can cover the way Oklahoma will want.

*A trio of defensive backs that really stood out to me were Midwest City, Okla. safety Evan Fields, Tulsa Union's cornerback Tre Brown, and a comparatively unknown Justin Broiles of John Marshall. Fields, is just so technically strong for a safety, the way he'll ride guys in their breaks makes for some really difficult angles for quarterbacks/receivers up the middle. Very natural in a zone scheme IMO. With Brown, he has some hiccups in his footwork, can be a little all over the place, but when you watch him go one on one and receivers try to run with him it's nearly game over from the snap. Guy that has a lot of potential as a corner. Meanwhile Broiles was a kid I was getting my first look at and I just loved the way he competed, did a great job getting his hands into the passing lane and using good body position to fight the ball off. I would guess amongst the trio maybe 3-4 balls were caught all day.

*One of the guys that really impressed some people was Harrah, Okla. 2016 offensive guard Logan Roberson. I admit, I didn't get to watch as much as I would have liked but what I did see, I liked quite a bit. Very violent guy that has improved a lot over the last year.

*Another John Marshall guy that you couldn't help but notice was two-way lineman Tramonda Moore. The big man has an absolutely incredible frame and I thought moved around fairly well for someone who clearly was rough around the edges of his technique. I'm guessing he may be a name for a few years down the road, as he has some academic hurdles, but he is a guy that we may be talking about again in 2018.

*A player that I didn't expect a lot from was Checotah, Okla. receiver Drew Dan, who has, so far, largely been a target for the military academies. I thought he showed real ability to separate and is explosive in and out of cuts. Wouldn't shock me to see some Big 12 schools start taking notice.

More still to update...being called to board...
