lethargic uninspired play by Sooner BB team. How can you not be ready to play in the NCAAs?

Good thing you didn't comment in the game thread. This gem certainly needed its own thread with such an inspiring title.

They looked tight to me for most of the first half. Played good enough to win which is more than I can say for a few other teams. At some point, Spangler is going to have to show up.

I hate to say this but I feel about this bball team like I do the football team.....I just don't trust em

My curiosity has me asking. What does not trusting the football or basketball team mean? Do you have a bookie?

Teams like UC Bakersfield and Middle Tennessee made it to the tournament because they were playing the best ball in their conference. It happens every year: they either get their doors blown off, give the high seed a scare, or on the rare occasion knock of the giant.

We survived, the tournament favorite did not. Enjoy the game Sunday.

fyi bc, I generally don't look at your posts anymore since your full of it with your opinionated replies. It's ok for you not to look at mine. Thanks in advance for your cooperation.

You're welcome? Good luck with that.

Mister meaning I go into each game not knowing which ou team we are going to see. Will it be the Oklahoma team we seen in the 3 OT thriller or the one we seen vs Texas?

Thought our team played well in spurts, then kinda went to sleep or got careless and the opposition caught up. Then we'd go on a run and they'd catch up. Main problem, IMO, was that we were throwing up bricks at the free throw line ... missed something like 11 of 22 ... 50% at the FT line will get you beat against a good team.

One of these games (I hope) we're going to play like we did at the beginning of the year, and there's not a team in the tournament that can beat that. Period. Kansas was lucky to beat us both times, and they were playing as well as they can.

Yankee I think you're saying you can't count on them. I don't know any team you can count on during March Madness. Now if I could trust a team, I'd be in Las Vegas for a month.

Sorry I double posted. I had a bookie during football season one time. Anyway I called him during the NFL playoffs to place a bet. He told me he was out of business for a while. He needed to payoff a gambler who hit him hard with losses. He told me the guy won 14 of the 16 point spreads on basketball in one weekend. NBA I think, the last time I talked to him he was scalping Longhorn football tickets.
I had fun for one season, but realized it totally ruined Football for a fan. I wanted every team I bet on to put the game out of doubt early. Now I'm back to only enjoying routs when Oklahoma is the winner.

You can count on some teams more than others. Kansas, for example, is a team that is going to play a good game most of the time. They won't always win, but they will show up and play hard. Lesser teams have issues with consistency due to coaching, talent, maturity, etc.
