As the second seed there. Florida, Liberty and Central Michigan. Liberty is pretty good. We'll face them first.
Our bullpen has been sharp the past month or more. There are several other regional locations that could have been much harder to advance. OU is ranked higher than the Gators. OU has played 4 teams in the top 25 without too much damage to the W-L column this year. Both SEC and Big 12 have 5 teams in the Top 25 final ranking and Florida is not one of them. All things considered we should be in very good shape to advance. When you play baseball or softball at an SEC based regional, you have more to overcome than just the top seeded team's talent on the field. We'll pitch to a smaller strike zone when we face the Gators.
There are several regionals being hosted by schools with a lesser record and poorer "draw" attractiveness. It is no secret that the selection process to host regionals is a secret. But Florida played well enough at the end of the season to get to host a regional. Meanwhile, the Big XII regular season champ with a better record, goes on the road.
WHOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That was hard to watch, esp the 7th inning. Winner takes all tomorrow. Baseball and softball both play early games.
