I know, another Lebby thread. Look, he should've ran more on 1st down, and absolutely sucked at clock mgmt. But, did he cause the miscues below? No. Those player miscues cost OU 10 to 17 points. And JL has an average and bipolar QB1. A QB1 who can't handle pressure. And JL engineered 28 pts and 300 yds in one quarter..that's insane. Imagine what he'll do with a really good QB? Congel's bad snaps also killed timing all night, and Raym being out hurt the run game.
Lebby definitely deserves criticism, but failing to acknowledge player miscues is ignorant.
These plays weren't on Lebby:
1. Willis fumble cost OU 7. It was 21 to 0 at that point. OSU wouldn't have stopped OU there.
2. DG INT cost OU 3 before half. DG also missed Freeman early in the flat. Freeman just had one man to beat and if he does he could've been gone.
3. Farooq had 3 drops, 2 which would've been first downs.
4. Phantom hold on Harrison stole a great 3rd down conversion.
5. Congel hurt the running game and his bad snaps really hurt the timing.
