OU is going to need help to get in the playoffs, it's that simple.
All these scenarios are, obviously, assuming OU wins:
A ND loss to Stanford puts OU in. Any type of ND win (no matter how ugly) puts the Irish in no AND matter how bad OU beats the Pokes. Look at the playoff committee rankings tomorrow. Guarantee you ND will not be punished for that shitty 3 point win over a bad BC team.
If ND beats Stanford it will be difficult. Hopefully, this weekend Nebraska beats Iowa and beats them badly. This sets up a Big 10 Champ game that doesn't quite mean as much.
If Iowa loses to nebbish but wins the Big 10, then I think OU is in. That one loss Iowa team won't pass OU in the top four.
If Iowa wins this weekend but loses against MSU, the committee will pick MSU. Politics still play a role here and the Big 12 isn't well represented by the committee.
Hopefully, OU just takes care of business and Stanford puts a number on ND and we can avoid all that other BS.
