Softball splits with N Tx today

The Sooner softball team lost 4-3 in game one while winning game 2 15-8. At this point I think the ladies B12 streak may be in question considering Texas is looking really strong while Gasso is trying to find that ace P while Juarez is out. This is still a solid team but seems to be struggling right now.

They are kind of a mess. That 4-3 win by North Texas was their first ever over OU. The 2nd game was even worse to start. The Sooners were down 4-0 after 1 inning, but finally got on the board in the 3rd, and North Texas seemed to run out of pitching, and the Sooners won 15-8. We have so many missing players, that we're down to one position player on the bench to start the game. We've taken our freshman 2nd baseman/center fielder and turned her into a left handed slapper. I guess when you're hitting under .100 hitting right handed, you gotta do something.

But UNT's best pitcher, threw the last three innings of their stunning 4-3 win, striking out four at the top of OU's line up, to secure the win. OU scored two in the 1st, and one in the next six
innings against three North Texas pitchers.

OUr team is a mess right now. We'll see what happens against Northwestern in the tournament final. Beat them six or seven on Friday, but things have gone downhill since.
