SMU go's to NY6 game why not OU

Watched part of the SMU game and they are good. Announcers mentioned their loss to Oklahoma. Now they will go to New Year's 6 game. We played a lot of teams going to bowl game and our schedule might have been much tougher than what we were told at the start of the season.
