Might have been posted and I missed it, but Brandon Chatmon looked at some Big 12 leaders in advanced stats to study some of the efficiencies of the players.

Here are some top ones, with any OU related info below

Yards per drop back (Passing yards + scramble yards - sacks per drop back)
  1. Seth Russell, Baylor 10.25
  2. Trevone Boykin, TCU, 8.47
  3. Baker Mayfield, Oklahoma, 7.99
  4. Mason Rudolph, Oklahoma State, 7.79
  5. Patrick Mahomes, Texas Tech, 7.53
Off target percentage (overthrown or under thrown pass attempts divided by pass attempts)
  1. Baker Mayfield, Oklahoma, 7.8
  2. Seth Russell, Baylor, 9
  3. Ryan Willis, Kansas, 9.2
  4. Trevone Boykin, TCU, 1
  5. Mason Rudolph, Oklahoma State, 10.3
Quick thought: Mayfield was often under pressure yet he consistently gave the Sooners receivers a chance to make a play on the ball. His scrambling got so much attention it overshadowed his stellar passing ability. … Willis’ appearance is a reminder that Kansas’ winless season wasn’t completely a lost cause. The Jayhawks could have found their quarterback of the future.

Rushing yards after contact per carry (100 or more carries)
  1. Samaje Perine, Oklahoma, 2.92
  2. Joe Mixon, Oklahoma, 2.89
  3. Shock Linwood, Baylor, 2.67
  4. DeAndre Washington, Texas Tech, 2.41
  5. Mike Warren, Iowa State, 2.02
Quick thought: It’s no surprise to see Perine top the list. After all, who wants to try to tackle Oklahoma’s bruising sophomore star? … Linwood and Washington find themselves just behind the Sooners’ dynamic duo, a sign they are durable, every down runners as opposed to scat backs that only excel on the edge, which can be the easy assumption based on their lack of height.

Reception percentage (Percentage of targets that result in a reception, at least 60 targets)
  1. Sterling Shepard, Oklahoma, 72.9
  2. Josh Doctson, TCU, 72.5
  3. Jakeem Grant, Texas Tech, 71.4
  4. KaVontae Turpin, TCU, 69.2
  5. Shaun Nixon, TCU, 69.1
Quick thought: Shepard was extremely consistent and trustworthy so he seems at home atop this list. … Doctson got the attention but seeing a pair of Horned Frogs join him as dependable targets should give TCU fans a bit of hope since Turpin and Nixon return to help replace Doctson in 2016.

Disrupted drop backs (sacks, interceptions, batted passes, passes defended)
  1. Daryl Worley, West Virginia, 18
  2. Emmanuel Ogbah, Oklahoma State, 17
  3. Xavier Howard, Baylor, 15
  4. Zack Sanchez, Oklahoma, 14.5
  5. Terrell Chestnut, West Virginia, 14 and Tevin Madison, Texas Tech 14
