We live in Muskogee my stepson played with him for 2 years and we are proud to see one of our boys do so well. We have had quite a few Roughers go play for N. Texas so there has always been a connection. I think this is a nice first HC job for Seth. Hope he does really well!
What's happened to Muskogee football? Did they all move to Wagoner?

Muskogee Football has been messed up for years since the Glenn Bell incident at OU and the dismissal of Coach Ron Freeman soon after for embezzlement. Then lately two different coaches accused of rape and one of them accused of spreading HIV. The better local athletes are moving away in Jr High years to play for better teams and better recruiting opportunities. Any student athlete with goals to play beyond high school should steer clear of MHS. Muskogee High School Athletics has a terrible reputation. Just a sad deal and no one seems to care.
Best of luck to Seth. I thought he would have been a good fit and OU, but the timing just wasn't right. Hope he gets UNT turned around. Lots of talent in the DFW metro area, so hopefully he can bring in some guys who can play.
I guess I have a bad memory. What was the Glenn Bell incident? Didn't Freeman take over the Broken Arrow job or was it vice versus? What was the embezzlement? Stealing from pop machines? I remember one coach did this.
There was a coach or principal at Skiatook that put a camera in the girls locker room.

I also live in Muskogee, Jimmy and I are good friends played a lot of golf with both Jimmy and Seth.
This one is a head scratcher, been attending Muskogee football games for years. Have never heard of the head football coach be accused of rape. Do you have a link to this breaking news?
Yes KC Ron took from the vending Machines to feed his football players pre game meals. He was realised for it. But the rape accusations not to sure about have never heard about that one I'm sure if this happens we could see a news story about it. I googled it and found nothing.
Well some things you won't find on google. My daughters high school BB coach was fired for a lesbian affair with a player. A 26 year old male soccer coach was fired for an affair with a senior female player. Both of the incidents were covered up, but all of Catoosa new about it......I'm not saying that's what happened, but it did here......

Didnt say Head Football Coach was accused of rape. Was a wrestling coach and a cheer/softball coach. Just google "Muskogee Coach Rape" there should be several stories. I also personally took a list of Coaching violations in a meeting with the school AD where my child was either in danger or put in situation that I was not comfortable with...they were all swept under the rug. The good ole boy network was in full swing for too many years. Lots of problems that would cost coaches jobs were swept under the rug because they were there for years.
Good luck to Seth. Would be great to see him succeed and move on up the coaching ladder in this career.
Yeah but Lancaster and Matt, got the program back. Then the good ol boys sent a good coach packing. And the program suffered yet again.
Only terrific coaches have won at UNT. But I guess at some point he wanted his shot. He is older than Barry was when he took over at OU, at the Fairbanks departure for the NFL.
