Sermon??

He apparently fell out of favor in the second half of the 2019 season at OU as he carried the ball only 9 times in 4 games. I liked what he did at OU when healthy, but he won't be missed from here on.
I think it was Brooks' decision not to play this year that caught the coaches off guard and I'd like to know if he's gone for good.

I didn't think Sermon played very well last year when called upon, and he fell down the depth chart.

He averaged 7.1 yards per carry last season. I think his performance was just fine when he was healthy enough to play. The emergence of Stevenson and Brooks made it tougher to get carries.

This. tOSU's bell cow (Dobbins) from last year is now a Raven, plus the heir apparent (Teague) was recovering from a torn Achilles, which made their leading healthy returnee' a back with all of 25 carries to his credit. Trey didn't know it would happen at the time he made his decision obviously, but Teague has made a remarkable recovery & is back starting. Hindsight is 20-20 & all that, but putting my OU fandom aside, if I'd had the information he had at the time (which btw, did not include Brooks opting out) I'd have done the same thing.
