Brooks reminds me of Alex Ross without the blazing speed. Brooks has subtle moves which gets him to the hole quickly. It's not a quick tic of a move like you would see in Sermon or Murray and not powerful but he sees the hole and goes north and south.
Just seems like it takes forever for Sermon to get going. I think Anderson's absence is going to be a major hurdle to overcome unless somebody starts stepping up.
We have the backs. Brooks and Pledger should be getting more touches because you are right, it takes Sermon too long to get going. If he has an opening, he's hard to bring down, but he lacks explosion through the hole.
Where is Sutton? Is he still hurt?
I think Sermon is a trying to do the Leveon Bell tap dance prior to hitting the hole. I don't remember him doing that last year but anyway, yeah was hoping he would be more decisive. He is beginning to remind me a little of Renaldo Works. Both big running backs that like to tip toe around and go east and west a little too much. Any chance Brooks could emerge as our go to back? He looked pretty good today
Zone blocking and taking the handoff from the spread necessitates a little tip-toeing. It's different if the QB is under center and they're calling the gap for the RB to hit.
