Sorta found my rhythm with this. One item - a postgame nugget. One item - something recruiting. One item - random. Let's roll
1. Tre Brown breaking down Robert Barnes' return
"We were in cloud over there to the left — I was in cloud. I saw him cross my face and hopefully I had something in the back but I didn't really see him. I saw where the quarterback was going and he threw it over there, so I was like, 'Oh snap, let me get over there.' Luckily Rob was over there. He got the interception and took off. I thought he was going to trip on like the 5-yard line but he kept running. So I'm like OK, let me try to get in front of Rob right now. I'm going to go make this block. So he's running and stuff like that, so I'm like, OK, I see 21. Me and him's head up right now. I see Rob cut in and I'm like, 'Hold on, what are you doing?' So I give him the hand, like 'Come back, come back onside.' He did and that's when I just levitated that guy right there."

There's always a rallying cry, right? Or at least it feels that way. I don't think it's necessarily the Mike Stoops-Ruffin McNeill switch. You talk to the players about the love they have for each other, the camaraderie (which I feel is legit and not just a smoke screen), think the team rallying around Brown during his hour of need is huge.
In talking to Robert Barnes after the game, that's raw emotion talking about Brown means to him and how they're a family united together.
Not sure that means they're an elite defense by any means, but at least don't feel like there is any divisiveness in the locker room.

2. It's time for Bedlam recruiting weekend
This is OU's sixth home game. Two started before noon. One at night (Army) and three at 2:30, including Bedlam on Saturday afternoon.
Does that mean anything in recruiting? I don't know. Not sure how Lincoln Riley views that. Bob Stoops always just said, screw it, get 'em here when they can. Where Riley seems to be more calculated and want that special feel for a weekend.
Last year? It was homecoming vs. Texas Tech. And we all know how that played out with Bookie Radley-Hiles, Ronnie Perkins and DaShaun White (eventually).
This year? It's Bedlam.
Maybe Bru McCoy:
Be on the watch for? Jalani Williams. If you've read my stuff through the years, you know I hate November for recruiting because high school playoffs destroy potential weekends.
But Williams is done... so he could make it to Bedlam:
Looking at some of those early names, and none of them scream OU locks to me like Perkins did last year. But then again, never ever thought Bookie would be a Sooner, either. So sometimes just getting the band together, especially with Rattler coming back, is enough to create a special weekend.
Obviously, will be working with @Josh_M throughout the week to confirm, re-confirm and see if anybody new is lingering out there for this weekend's visitors.
3. Time to see Sevion Morrison
Oh man, finally. Dude, been feeling like on sidelines all OKPreps season because of OU's lack of interest in the state for 2019 and 2020 so far. We'll catch up with Marcus Major again during these next five weeks, but we're starting with Claremore at Edison and the chance to see 2020 RB Sevion Morrison.
I wanna know what the fuss is all about. And if you can deliver in a playoff setting? Then I know what the fuss is all about. Morrison was at OU last month, and ya wonder if Edison wins, if he doesn't come back for Bedlam.
He's earned Nebraska, Missouri and Nevada offers in the last 10 days. He's about to become dat dude, but is it enough for OU? You have Jase McClellan and Jaylan Knighton and a slew of legitimate 2020 RB targets. Is Morrison a feel-good story? Or is he someone Sooners should take a stab at anyway, regardless of the 2020 crowded scene?
OK, and looking down the road to next week. Please, oh please, take care of business, Stillwater and Booker T, if ya wanna help us out.
We could have Booker T. at Stillwater next weekend.
2021 Stillwater RB Qwontrel Walker (really wanna see this dude play)
Booker T. safety Dax Hill
Booker T. RB Thomas Grayson
2020 Booker T. WR Javian Hester
2022 Booker T. ATH Gentry Williams
Not in the business of rooting for teams, but if the Pioneers and Hornets can win this weekend, that's a nice semifinal matchup that we can cover
