The 'what did you do?' edition.

1. What did you do?

Simple. Piggybacking on Toby here, what did you do "to help" the Sooners make the biggest comeback in program history and lead to Jalen Hurts and Kenneth Murray actually celebrating something for once?

Not gonna sit here and say thought OU would make it back from 28-3, but also not gonna say didn't think there wasn't any chance. The snark was not strong in me on Twitter. Really just focused on Hurts was going to need to throw to more than just Nick Basquine and AD Miller for the Sooners to make a run.

He did. Lee Morris, Charleston Rambo initially. Austin Stogner. Then, of course, Theo Wease and a lil bit of Jadon Haselwood. It had to be more than Basquine and Miller or 38-17 was gonna come fast.

We all have 'em, right? Lil things you do during a game to help turn the momentum. So... what did any of you guys do?

2. Young'uns get it now?

Angry Bob will go back into hiding after the return of guys like Theo Wease, Jadon Haselwood and Austin Stogner in Waco. They're so talented that even if they flub up a time or two, you have to roll with them eventually.

They can make the plays those other guys can't. You've got steady hands, and then you've game difference makers. And you have to take the good with the bad because they're not always going to be consistent.

But when it mattered most, dem dudes showed up in the second half.

Lee Morris doesn't need a lot of touches to stay engaged. He understands it. He's the "silent assassin" as dubbed by Jalen Hurts today. But when you're so highly touted as freshmen, hmm, maybe another story.

Asked Riley about the young kids attempting to trust the process and how rewarding Saturday was because of doing just that.

“I think for a young guy, I think it’s always tougher. And you want guys that want to play. If they’re OK just standing over on the sidelines and not playing, then they’re not the right guy, either. So there’s a very, very fine line. And those guys have handled it well. I mean, they want opportunities. They want the chance to play more.

“They want those opportunities. But there’s two things. They have to understand, one, the great plays or the highlight plays you make are great, but the opportunities go to the ones who are the most consistent, and you’ve got to go prove that you’re deserving of those reps. And there’s also times, again, Lee’s a great example, where he’s gotten a lot of reps and has games where not many come his way and then all of a sudden he has a huge night for us, and it can go that way, too.

“We’re lucky that we’ve got some old guys that are very unselfish that have been with us that can be great examples to those guys. I think it large part they’ve handled it well, and when they’ve gotten the opportunity on a big stage, you know, they were ready.”

If Lamb returns rest of this season, those opportunities will dwindle. Hey, I get it. But what you hope is that they all understand hang tight in the present and come dominate in 2020 and beyond. A night like Saturday, to me, should let them know it's all gonna be worth it.

(Hmm. Hmm...)

3. The Ghosts of 28-3

Just weird how that worked out, huh? Alex Grinch opted to show the OU defense Super Bowl LI where the New England Patriots rallied from 28-3 against the Atlanta Falcons as an example of overcoming adversity.

So prophetic, no? But Berry Tramel is right. Maybe show them a Super Bowl like where the San Francisco 49ers dominated Denver Broncos 55-10, ha.

“You stole the quote from me. We had talked a lot during the week about just the different adversities you face and sticking together as a team. I wish it was little bit different way than that, but that was kind of a part of our theme for the week. There were a couple videos we showed the team, and I think that particular one was one that coach Grinch showed the defense throughout the week. I’ll tell him to pick one where we don’t get down so far next time.”

Parnell Motley addressed the situation after the game, too.

"We literally watched that this week. (Why were you watching it?) Just because our last game, things didn't really go our way, we were up 35-14, and it's the way we went about things. It showed us how to face adversity and how things don't go well when it's not your way and how things go well when it is your way. And we just found a way. Seeing how a Super Bowl team responded in that situation, it's great to watch that clip, we looked at the scoreboard the same way."

Falcons had fun with it:

And so, too, did Dwyane Wade:

One of the wildest games ever attended and one I'll never forget.
