I truly believe this season has been a success.

If in the end, a team is measured by wins and losses, then we are clearly winners.
Most of us would have taken the deal if offered 11 wins through 12 games back in August.

The Defense has been berated, discussed and dissected ad nauseam this season.
Who gives a sh*t now, I say. As this team sits on the precipice of a Big 12 Championship and a possible CFP birth, all that can be said is this team is a winner. The coaching staff and players have produced winning football once again, and I for one will enjoy that.

That being said, this Saturday we will learn just how deeply the Championship DNA is embedded in our team. In this single game, so much is at stake. The chance to avenge our season's only loss -to the team that we hate above all others. In reality, it's the only team we truly hate.
To EARN a spot in the CFP and ultimately a shot at the National Title is also at stake.

Championship teams rise to these occasions. Good teams can get to this point, GREAT teams get past this point.

There are no excuses for OU this Saturday. If we are a GREAT team, then we will rise to this challenge and beat those damn Longhorns. In closing, I do NOT believe that Texas is a good enough football team to beat us again if our coaches and players perform to our potential on Saturday.
