Ladies and gentlemen, your wait is over. Team 129 takes the field today. After 8 long months it is officially football time in Oklahoma!

First order of business has to be the defense.

1) who is going to be him in the trenches, we have heard all offseason about Jonah, Dajon, and many many more but it's time for them to come out today and the next 13 Saturdays and show us they've put in the work to be great. The ends also have a point to prove. Last year we lacked the ability to put pressure on the QB in obvious pass situations. Now between downs, Ford, Bothroyd, and the rest of the room it's time to show us they're ready to show up and show out.

2) we've also heard about the added depth in the linebacker room. Let's see how well kanak has picked up the playbook and see who is going to standout behind danny and Kanak. I have high hopes for the depth but we shall see.

3) Harrington and Dasan are both gonna be key points of this defense this year and I couldn't be more excited. I can't wait to see how they are used individually and also together. The packages they're going to scheme to have both on the field will be great.

4) the secondary has DUDES everywhere. The whole room has a chance to be special. From bowen and bowman, key and Reggie, woodi and gentry, RSJ and Josiah. Shall I keep going? It's going to be nice to not have to play 7 yard cushion because we lack talent. The guys have speed and awareness so this should be one of the better secondaries we have seen in a while.

Now, onto the offense

5) DG seems to be as confident as ever. Now he has to show us he can lead a blue blood institution like Oklahoma. He has to be more consistent in the short to intermediate passing game and from everything we have all heard he will be. He knows that there's a super talented young freshman right behind him lacking his chops so it's all on him at this point.

6) this running back room is DEEEEEP. Major might be the guy but he has to stay healthy. Tawee is just a wrecking ball carrying the rock and no one wants any part of trying to take him down. Sawchuck and Barnes might be the most talented on the team and they might not even have to be used as much as we think. If major and walker can take a load off them and keep they're legs fresher we'd be all the better for it.

7) reciever might be the biggest question mark on the team. We know Farooq and stoops will be utilized but who else will step up. Here's to hoping JG has gotten out of his own head when it comes to the dropsies and nic Anderson, andrell anthony, G-freaky and a plethora of others have a chance to show up and show out and prove they have the potential to pull away from the pack.

8) the offensive line is going to be interesting. This will be the first time these 5 have ever played a snap together but all info seem it's going to work out. Mckade is possibly the lowest ceiling player in the starting 5 but he's a model of consistency so if that's the case sign me up. Bill will have the 2 deep ready so we will be rocking and rolling. Raym just needs to stay healthy and I can't wait to see Cayden green get some playing time. Walter rouse has a chance to be good for a 1 year rental while we develop younger guys. Byrd is definitely that guy as he has taken his weight and form way more serious. If he can keep that mentality all season long then we are going to be set.

All of that said kickoff is in less than 10 mins and I'm going to shotgun a PBR sit at my bar and scream for the next 4 hours at the top of my lungs. Team 129 plays football today and it's time for all of us to support wherever we may be. BOOMER SOONER BABY!!!
