Why is that surprising? In the NFL, it's a purer coaching challenge and much less demanding from a year-around standpoint. In college, you're a salesman chasing 16-17 year olds, ALL YEAR LONG. In the NFL, you're working with the most talented or the hardest working guys in that position.
