Riley To Dallas??

No. I do not link the qb decommit to Riley leaving. I live in the area and it would seem Ruhle and Meyer have more traction, if Jerry will even go with a college coach. I will say there is a strong following of Cowboys fans in the DFW area who would love Riley to become the Cowboys head coach. It would screw me because OU would lose their coach and Riley would be set up for failure because my theory is until Jerry assumes room temperature, the Cowboys will never win anything of substance.
being a Sooner fan and a Dallas hater I would hate the move haha. I’m hoping Rhule is the guy there, although I do agree with Jerry not hiring a college coach. We will see though.
Nope, I could see a move to Cleveland before Dallas, but he's not going anywhere.
this is why I keep telling people no way. Those who believe Riley to Dallas is a done deal don’t think this is a problem.
Riley already makes what Jason Garrett makes, 6 mil./yr. Riley can compete for conference titles here for the next 10 years, probably no questions asked by the higher ups or go to Dallas and be expected to be in the playoffs or better each year or face tremendous pressure.
this is what I tell people who are convinced he is gone! Why would he? Money isn’t an issue! Jerry Jones would be a nightmare to work for! It just doesn’t make sense in my opinion that he would leave OU for Dallas.
30 plus years ago there might have been a huge disparity in head coach salaries between college and the NFL. Not anymore. Lincoln can may 6 plus million in Norman for as long as he wants or he can take the job in Dallas make 7.5 million and be on the hot seat before his first season is over. Personally I'd stay at OU.
Riley can’t go to Dallas until he’s offered a job. He hasn’t even interviewed much less been offered.
CFB is 24/7 job. With very little down time or time off due to recruiting... just saying
Coaching college football or in the NFL is going to be a 24/7 job if you're going to do it well.
Which is normally LR who sometimes has his major mistakes especially at the most critical moments ... The best option for him is to stay put in Norman and try and build a championship team

One would have to think the 3 bad playoff losses had to put a chink or 2 in his rising star status and some of those NFL teams are thinking twice.
As a side note, you have to play defense in the NFL to win as well.

Alabama hired Mike Stoops this season as an analyst. Plaino would be a better hire by a bunch, imo. I wonder how much Saban actually listened to Mike? Lol

NFL Coaching positions will always be there with teams sucking year in and year out. Big time college coaching jobs not so much.
