Man the Texas game was huge. It’s where Kenny Mann, Rodney Anderson, and Hollywood “figured it out”. After Rodney had that TD run he was a different guy the rest of the season.

I remembered Barnes not being very good but going back and watching he really blew some people up. If he is healthy a Barnes and Parker safety duo would be solid.

Moving Kelly off the edge will be huge. Teams constantly ran at him and he just couldn’t set the edge but was usually in good position. Should be much better in space.

Not saying Flowers isn’t the man, he clearly is, but that play action pop pass didn’t work because of him it worked because it is a great play. Willis, Hall, and Meier should be able to keep that play alive. The guy was wide open every time. Add in Murray’s run threat and this play will be unstoppable. Hope they throw in another variation with Brown going deep down the middle too. Safeties will be put in a really bad spot there.

Murray and Brown have some chemistry. I think Murray hit Brown in stride on the deep ball as many times as Baker did last year.

Beal made some plays @Carey Murdock but man he just couldn’t get off blocks. If Kelly can do that it should help.

Lampkin really didn’t play much and was not very good by the time the second half rolled around. Really just in terrible shape.

Jordan Thomas was awful.

If the defense plays the same scheme and with the same aggressiveness it did second half of Kansas State they have a chance. If they continue to do what they did in the first half we are screwed.

Obo will be missed but I feel like him being as good as he was hurt Mike’s brain. Mike had a lot of plays that were rush 1, have 3 guys hold blocks, and drop 7 because he thought Obo could get the job done (he actually did a lot of the time). Maybe not having that security blanket will result in a more consistently aggressive scheme.

Still really nervous about Murray. He is a chaser. The few plays JMT was in he found the ball and went downhill and got in the back field. With Murray he couldn’t find the ball until the player got to the LOS and then he chased them down. Hopefully he gets in the backfield more next year.
