A High School Football Field Somewhere
QB: Kyler Murray - 96 - Was very shaky early but man once he got it going...amazing.
RB: Trey Sermon - 84 - Thought he was hesitant at times but got worst OL performance in a while.
HB: Carson Meier - 90 - Had a couple of HUGE blitz pickups.
TE: Grant Calcaterra - 94 - One-handed catch..that's a play that will live on for YEARS.
WR: Marquise Brown - 76 - Had moments but even before injury...drops were a huge problem.
WR: Cedarian Lamb - 91 - Fumble was horrible but did you see the catch on the last drive of the 1st?
LT: Bobby Evans - 81 - Was great in pass pro.
LG: Ben Powers - 83 - Was part of a unit that just looked out of sorts in the run game.
C: Creed Humphrey - 85 - Really thought he was strong again inside.
RG: Dru Samia - 76 - Thought I saw some of the early season form.
RT: Cody Ford - 84 - Saw some missed pulls that I've not seen since the first Texas meeting.

Offensive Average: 85.5 (940)

DEFENSE:

DE: Kenneth Mann - 77 - His best game of the year.
DT: Neville Gallimore - 87 - Thought he was HUGE key to defense that allowed 2.8-ypc.
DT: Amani Bledsoe - 84 - He was very strong in the run game, huge sack.
DE: Ronnie Perkins - 80 - Thought he was very disruptive.
LB: Caleb Kelly - 80 - Another huge element of run defense's jump from first meeting.
LB: Kenneth Murray - 74 - Still avoided too much contact but did help in flats passing.
LB: Curtis Bolton - 88 - Heart and soul of this performance. His tackles on Texas' last first half drive set the tone for the rest of the game.
CB: Tre Brown - 86 - HUGE sack, did a great job not tipping his hand.
CB: Parnell Motley - 50 - Just an awful day but Johnson was always to be a tough matchup.
S: Robert Barnes- 74 - Was pretty solid throughout.
S: Tre Norwood - 82 - Bet he shows up a TON in MMI - hard to ignore how much less Lil'Jordan Humphrey did in this game.

Defensive Average: 78.5 (864)

SPECIAL TEAMS:

K: Austin Seibert - 87 - Better to be lucky than good sometimes.
P: Austin Seibert - 81 - Wasn't asked to do a lot but was solid when he was.
KR: Tre Brown - N/A -
PR: Cedarian Lamb - N/A -

Special Teams Average: 84 (168)

KEY RESERVES:

RB: Kennedy Brooks - 60 - For the first time all year he never got going.
WR: Nick Basquine - 81 - Awesome seeing Basquine get a moment in the sun today.
WR: Lee Morris - 82 - Picked a huge time to show back up for the Sooners.
WR: Myles Tease - 75 - Not beautiful but very steady for Oklahoma.
DE: Tyreece Lott - 76 - I thought he, as he has a lot as of late, had some strong moments.

Reserves Average: 74.8 (374)

Team Average: 81 (2346)

My Team Grade: 86

Easily the most complete game of the season for the Sooners and the first time since the Kansas State game that you felt like you might actually have a reason to believe that the defense could come up with a play.

The offensive line had it's worst game since probably Iowa State but still a very sound performance in the passing game.

It wasn't perfect but it was as much a step in the right direction as anything that has happened since Mike Stoops' departure.

Scoring Standard:

100-82: Playoff Contender
82-74: Big 12 Title Contender
74-65: Bowl Game Participant
65-0: 'I'll be hoooome for Christmas
