OFFENSE:

QB: Caleb Williams - 93 - Loved his decision making, how calm he was and just his general demeanor throughout.
RB: Eric Gray - 88 - Though he shouldn't have started he ran tough and made a lot of plays.
WR: Mike Woods - 68 - Still didn't feel like he ever found his real groove with OU but an ok day.
WR: Mario Williams - 86 - Man, I just love what this guy brings, and think OU couldn't have used the four points that were taken off the board?
TE: Jeremiah Hall - 91 - Had some incredible blocks and kept the chains moving for Oklahoma.
TE: Brayden Willis- 87 - Willis didn't get much in the passing game but had some big-time work in the ground game.
OT: Erik Swenson - 80 - His steady nature at OT was hard to ignore.
OG: Marquis Hayes - 82 - Was a big part of the Sooners push.
C: Robert Congel - 80 - Very steady night for him.
OG: Chris Murray - 83 - Thought he looked great pulling and picking up some linebackers.
OT: Tyrese Robinson - 86 - Thought he had to warm up a bit but really played well as the game wore on.

Offensive Average: 84 (924)

DEFENSE:

DE: Reggie Grimes - 67 - Wasn't active enough for me.
NT: Josh Ellison - 60 - Thought he got pushed around some early in the run game.
DT: Jalen Redmond - 84 - Was a bit too inconsistent but when he was on he looked like an All-American type.
RUSH: Marcus Stripling - 81 - Strpiling, like Redmond dominated the first half and faded in the second.
LB: DaShaun White - 81 - Thought after he got hurt the defense didn't look quite the same.
LB: David Ugwoegbu - 60 - I just didn't see him much.
NB: Justin Broiles - 90 - Man, his best game as a Sooner. May not be his last though...
CB: Woodi Washington -86 - He'll be the Big 12's best corner next year.
CB: D.J. Graham - 35 - Man, a brutal night for a promising corner.
S: Pat Fields - 86 - One of his better games in Norman, very strong tackling.
S: Delarrin Turner-Yell - 76 - Kind of quiet in general but solid enough.

Defensive Average: 73.3 (806)

SPECIAL TEAMS:

K: Gabe Brkic - 77 - Missed an EP for the first time in his career but with that exception kicked it well.
P: Michael Turk - 92 - Wasn't asked to do a lot but man was just murdering the ball out there.
KR: Mario Williams - N/A
KR: Marvin Mims - N/A
PR: Marvin Mims - 87 - A 24-yard punt return? I don't believe my eyes!

Special Teams Average: 85.3 (256)

Key Reserves:

RB: Kennedy Brooks - 94 - Was just an outstanding performance in what was likely his final game in Norman.
RB: Marcus Major - 85 - Dude ran haaard.
WR: Marvin Mims - 81 - Was just one big play but did well.
WR: Jalil Farooq - 87 - Uh-oh...have the Sooners found the next breakout guy at receiver?
DE: Ethan Downs - 84 - Man, loved his day, very active guy, really started making more plays at the end of the year.
LB: Danny Stutsman - 71 - Wasn't exactly a crazy day but solid enough.

Reserves Average: 83.7 (502)

Team Average: 80.3 (2488)

My Team Grade:

Breakdown: I really was impressed all the way around. I will acknowledge that a young team , in its current form, took their foot off the gas and let Oregon back into the game. But when they needed to kick things back up to full speed, they got things done.

But beyond that stuff, Oklahoma just did an outstanding job finding their feet after some initial jitters. They had a great gameplan offensively and just trusted their run game to find it's way and did it ever with 318 yards rushing on the night.

Caleb Williams looked like a guy that had spent a month growing and maturing at the position and what do you know the offensive line can block quite well when they are in a system that suits them.

Defensively it was far from perfect in the second half but Jalen Redmond looks like a guy you build your defense around in 2022.

Scoring Standard:

100-82: Playoff Contender
82-74: Big 12 Title Contender
74-65: Bowl Game Participant
65-0: 'I'll be hoooome for Christmas
