OU off next week, 10/17, then:
@TCU
@Texas Tech
Kansas
OSU
@WVA
Baylor
That's three away, three at home, with very tough games vs TCU, Texas Tech and West Virginia on the road.
Only Kansas at home looks by far the easiest game. All of the other five games will be difficult, which I believe will serve the team and its coaches well in the long run.
This 2020 season looks like a time for OU to mature and develop its young talent to lay a foundation for 2021 and beyond. Even if OU struggles to a 6-4 record (losing two more games) and plays in a bowl, that is (or could be) 15 more practice sessions in bowl preparation which will help develop the team further going into next year.
2020 is really not a lost season if the team improves and focuses on the future....as well as, of course.....winning the last 6 games.

The TCU game is the key. And Tech's quarterback. I don't think the Red Raiders can beat OU if Bowman is still injured. If he returns, then they might have a legit chance.

TCU is so up and down. They won in Austin, but looked average losing to Kansas State at home. In the last six years, they beat OU once, and had three narrow losses: 30-29, 52-46 and last year 28-24. OU has scored at least 28 points according to a trivia question yesterday in 56 straight games, the longest streak in the country. That game with TCU and the Army game, when their offense kept the ball all night, were the only two to hold the Sooners that low.

After that, we get some good players back from suspensions and maybe a couple of others. Then making the CCG would be about the good fortune of Iowa State or Kansas State losing three conference games. The odds have been long each of Riley's seasons as head coach. But they have not been this long.
