I like many other Scoopers were extremely disappointed with how the game went yesterday. Consider the fact that Clemson had to replace their entire o-line and 9, yes 9 starters on defense and they looked superior at the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball most of the game.
Here is the difference in the narrative at OU right now vs. with Bama, LSU, Clemson, Ohio State and soon to be Michigan. We really don't have better players to replace Striker, Tapper, and Shepard. These other four programs I mentioned are just reloading because of the elite recruiting their current staffs have done the past 4-5 years and beyond. Does OU have good players ? Sure they do. Good enough to contend and hopefully win the Big 12 again next year. But elite Top 10 classes need to start happening again as they did from 00'-09' if we are going to win # 8 imo. Hopefully the recruiting picks up with the 17' class and beyond so next time OU gets on the biggest of stage they can finish.
