Everybody agrees that recruiting is huge if one wants to compete for a NC on a regular basis. We proved this year that we can do it but IMO to be there consistently will require an uptick in recruiting.
So far it is hard to see much of a "Final Four" uptick / bump. Hopefully this will change in the next few weeks before signing day.
Recent defections and rumored defections have me worried. I am especially worried about D-Line. Any time you have a 4* defection and no commits you should be worried. D-Line coach has no real successful recruiting background, which may be the problem. Of the newcomers both Riley, BB and Cooks are sure and reliable recruiters who can evaluate and close. Let's hope our D-Line coach can close on a few ASAP!
Hopefully I am wrong but IMO at least consistent "Top 10" recruiting performance is what it is going to take. We are not there and need to continue to step up our recruiting game!
