In the past, we've heard about how it is hard to recruit defensive players to the Big XII, because players don't want to face spread offenses and would rather face "pro-style" offenses in the SEC that prepare them for the NFL.
But the NFL is changing now; the best offenses in the pros look like what OU, Texas Tech, West Virginia, OSU, etc. run. Pretty soon it's what everyone is going to run, because it is simply objectively better than the old systems. Playing in the Big XII should now be a selling point to recruits, and whoever the next defensive staff is should be able to sell that to recruits.
