Since we're down to just 3 running backs, and only 1 (3-star) running back committed this year, has their been any talk of OU going after more running backs?

I believe we will take one more but I don't know who as we have two verbals for the 2019 class.

Marcus Major from OKC in the 2019 class.
Jace McClellan the top back in Texas and Jaylon Knighton also from Texas in the 2020 class. Both are 4-star. Hopefully, they won't be swayed elsewhere.
Running backs will never be a problem to recruit for OU.

Big fan of the Oklahoma players. We don't grab too many of them, but it seems time and again, they tend to pan out much more than players from other states. I'd love to do statistics on that. Maybe if I'm bored.

You will have to figure out SOMETHING, 'X', possibly? to represent that 'IT' Factor, the Native-Son-Gene that 4 of OUr 6 Heisman Winners have had...Sooner Magic at its Finest!

McClellan will get a 5 star, both he and Evans have that it factor. I think Evans will most likely pick texASS.

Well, I grabbed the low hanging fruit for you, so I didn't have to spend an hour or two.

Here is the normalized distribution of states with the most Heisman winners per capita. Nebraska and Oklahoma are the clear leaders. Interesting to see Texas, Florida, and Cali fall so far down the list once per capita is introduced. States with 1 winner were intentionally omitted. I figured 1 winner could be considered a fluke and skew the results for states with very little population like Hawaii, etc.

Nebraska - 1.00
Oklahoma - 0.98
Ohio - 0.74
Iowa - 0.61
Alabama - 0.59
Minnesota - 0.52
Pennsylvania - 0.45
Georgia - 0.37
New Jersey - 0.32
California - 0.32
Missouri - 0.31
Texas - 0.30
Indiana - 0.29
Massachussetts - 0.28
Florida - 0.18

If you remove states with only 2 winners -

Oklahoma - 1.00
Ohio - 0.76
Alabama - 0.60
Minnesota - 0.53
Pennsylvania - 0.46
Georgia - 0.37
New Jersey - 0.33
California - 0.32
Texas - 0.31
Florida - 0.18
