I was at the corner store last night buying lotto tickets and Trevor was standing in front of me. I was not positive it was him because he was just a bigger dude than I was expecting. Anyway, introduced myself, it was him, and what am awesome young man.
We talked about the Sugar Bowl, and what an amazing experience that was. Talked about Kyler Murray, he mentioned he might be a lot to deal with.
Talked about Andrews, and he said OU has to get him more involved as he is a complete beast and a matchup nightmare.
We talked about Samaje benching 225 100 times, and he told me about how that played out. 10 sets of 10 back to back, and the last time he held the last rep and just stared at Scmiittyy. He said he's the strongest dude he's ever seen.
We also spoke a little about the orange bowl. He said Samaje had torn ligaments in his ankle, and he couldn't believe he was able to get back on the field. Also said it was one of the gutsiest things he had ever seen. He mentioned that Joe got lit up was completely out of it when he left the game.
He told me that Coach Heup as really tough on the QBs, especially after getting the OC nod. Said the pressure really got to him, but didn't have enough nice things to say about Heup and how happy he was that he ended up at Mizzou.
