As posted last night, no defensive players. See what's in store for us Tuesday night.

Assess the suck?
"We put in the work all week. Just didn't come in ready to play. Came out, played slow. We never really caught each other...really caught the pace of the game."
"Definitely a big lesson there. We need to come in this game ready to play. Start fast and continue that and finish strong."
"I think we made a little mistake the first game when we played Kansas State. So losing that game coming into TCU, we lost a little bit of confidence. So we were focused on not making mistakes. So we need to come back mentally stronger and ready to make plays."
OU-Texas?
"The fans. The environment. It was unbelievable. I never played in a game like this before. It's just like a blessing to be on that field with all the support and love out there."
"It's just, I thought guys were just talking. They said you're never going to play in a game like this, but it was even better than I thought so they weren't lying about that for sure."

Feeling OK?
I’m good. My body feels good. Just to get fresh a little bit. It was good for me.
What Beville got out of his reps?
I definitely think that was helpful for him. Coming in that end of the Nebraska (I don’t know if he meant TCU, but he said Nebraska) game, just getting game reps. There’s nothing like game reps. You can simulate in practice, but being live when the bullets are firing, it’s definitely good for everyone.
Jovantae Barnes?
Ran hard. He really played good for all four quarters. We needed him to step up, and he really did. He showed he was a hard runner. He’s definitely come a long way. Like I said, I’ve been seeing him since he first got here. He’s definitely come a long way with his mental game as well. Learning offense, it’s not easy coming from a high school offense and learning this high pace, high-moving offense. Kudos to him for the time and effort that he’s put in to be able to do that.
No matter what, you’ll have a first-time QB in OU-Texas. What do you remember of your first OU-Texas, and what would you tell them?
You know, it’s different. Most people don’t play in a game where it’s half your fans, half their fans, so it’s different. Usually when you play a rivalry, it’s either your fans or their fans. So just tell him to keep the poise. You don’t have to be Superman. You don’t have to go out there and play out of your mind. You’ve just got to manage the game. That’s for every position. You just got to go out there and do your job. When all 11 guys are doing their job, that’s what you want.
Quick starts – how do you fix?
That’s important for us because it gets the momentum going, especially when you’re on the road. Scoring on that first drive, it definitely gets us momentum because we’re all we’ve got on the road. At least this week, we got our fans. We got more people traveling this week, but definitely, it kind of demoralizes the other team when you score on that first drive. That’s definitely something we’re focusing on this week, starting fast, but we got to start fast in practice. We can’t come out of the locker room and practice flat and ease into it by the third or fourth period. We got to start from period one going on.
Stop being scared?
“You can’t play this game nervous. You can’t play this game scared. You’ve got to know what you’re doing and you’ve got to give it all you got. When you’re timid and you don’t know what you’re doing, it doesn’t allow you to play fast. You’ve gotta be able to prepare during the week. Like today, we’ve got to prepare today all the way until the game starts at 11 o'clock on Saturday. That way you can play fast, you know what you’re doing and you’re not thinking.”

Fear of failure?
I’m not sure. You could tell guys were overthinking a little bit, stuff like that, just from watching film. Just a lot of little things — those little things add ups. Right now we’re just focused on going out there and playing football. Just like when we were kids, just going out and playing freely. You know, at this level, everybody knows how to play football. So we gotta do it to the level we’re most comfortable at.
Beville since Saturday?
Yeah, he’s told the team, the mistakes he made in the game, stuff like that, he told us, ‘If I’m out there, I’m gonna go out there and make sure I’m not the reason we lose.’ He’s handled it amazingly. He’s ready for the spotlight if it gets put on him. We have trust in him. We don’t care who’s back there at the end of the day. I mean, we’re all gonna do our job. We’ve got belief in whoever’s back there because coach has belief in him.
Tell dudes for first OU-Texas game?
I mean, it’s probably the wildest game you’ll ever play in. It’s half orange, half crimson. You know, it’s a great game, probably one of the hardest games you’ll ever have to play in from a physical standpoint. You’re gonna leave tired, dead, sweating, feeling like you can’t walk. But I mean, at the end of the day, it’s gonna be the most fun you’ve had all year.
Last year's catch?
Honestly, sometimes it will pop up in my feed and I'm like that's pretty cool. Now, when I remember the play, I don't remember it from my point of view. I just remember it from the video's point of view.
I remember running, seeing Caleb set up in the pocket, seeing the ball in the air, and then falling and the pylon being there. It was kind of surreal. I didn't know where I was. It was one heck of a play.
