PROJECTIONS AND POLLS FOR WEEK 14...

No surprise there. UGA will stay in front of them for 1 more week, until 'Bama crushes them...

Unless Saban purposely tanks the game, to ensure the SEC gets 2 again this year....would be such a Saban move, lol.
Bite Your Tongue, Rush...That sort of talk makes me NERVOUS! :p

Get ready to hear the talking heads for the next few days saying how tosu deserves to be the 4th spot if they beat Northwestern. The writer of that link even said he can see how tosu might jump OU and get in. And as someone stated earlier today, they are already talking about the big win over Michigan is better than any win OU has, but as the poster on here said no mention of the horrendous loss to Purdue.

No worries, Saban hates losing more than he likes winning and he wants that SEC Title since he did not get one last year.

Plus I will add its a goal that his team did not accompliah last season and I have a feeling Saban is a stickler when it comes to his teams setting goals and making sure they achieve them.

I'm sure the committee is smarter than the talking heads at ESPN. You can't jump OU when you have an embarrassing loss to Purdue and a 1-point squeaker with 50 points scored on your defense to Maryland the game before Michigan.

I honestly think Northwestern is going to shock the world when they beat Ohio State. I think Ohio State's passing attack exposed how overrated Michigan's defense was and how average their offense was when they fell behind.

Northwestern has been in a lot of close games with good teams and Ohio State played well over their head due to it being #4 ranked rival Michigan, a team they have dominated for years.

I can easily see a let down when they face Northwestern, not to mention they are going to feel a false sense of confidence.

Ugh, turned on 2 different national radio programs this morning, neither was ESPiN, and both were talking about how tOSU should get in before OU. Their only points: our god awful defense, and a lame “name brand” argument that was quickly shot down.

“Alabama would score 100 on OU” seems to be the favored superlative as I’ve heard it repeatedly. As if Alabama’s TD are worth 14 points instead of 7. Get the f... out of here.

This will be a sh*t storm that nobody will be happy with the outcome of the CFB Playoff selection. I can’t see Northwestern beating The Ohio State University in the dome environment and an enormous Ohio State fan presence. For us, we need to explode on the Shorthorns. Leave their head spinning. This might give us traction in final vote.

Ohio State defense yards per play - 5.7
Oklahoma defense yards per play - 5.8

Correct me if I am wrong but our defense is not worse than Ohio States, but the same.

Saban purposely tanking......LMAO. He'd send his mother to the Mexican border before losing a game purposely.

Points allowed per game would disagree with you.

Point is, people can always focus on whatever criteria they want to make an argument for/against anybody they want. That’s the major flaw with a 4-team, no guaranteed spots system. It’s 100% a beauty and popularity contest. It’s stupid.

Common opponent is TCu and they lost to Purdue ... no way in hell they deserve it more

I can see where tOSU would jump OU. If you look at the "horrendous loss" to Purdue, you also have to consider that OU went to OT against ARMY in NORMAN. That can certainly be considered "horrendous", as well.
I think if OU beats UT by more than 2 scores, we should be in. Between 7 and 14 points could be a little dicey. Less than 7, I could certainly see the argument for the Buck Nuts to jump us.

Army is ranked ... end of discussion

Last time the Committee ignored the results on the field and selected tOSU instead of Penn St, it resulted in :
Final Score: Clemson 31, Ohio State 0

"Experts" will never say Army taking OU to OT is equal to the thumping Purdue put on OSU because they constantly say how tough option teams can be since you don't see that type of offense, plus OU's offense only had the ball for 15 minutes and still won.

I keep forgetting about TCU being a common opponent and OU beat TCU worse than OSU did.
